Greetings From Back To Natural Farm!

Today I decided to start all over from scratch with my website. I don’t know if this was the brightest idea or not, but…it’s too late now!! Haha!

I want to be able to share my real story in as much “real time” as possible. That’s why I decided to go back to a blog-style website. I haven’t posted anything on my website for months since I stopped blogging. I think it would be really beneficial if I was to start a vlog (video blog)…I’m really not much for wanting to see myself in a video. Lol

We moved to this fabulous farmhouse in October 2016, just barely outside of town limits so we could have room to move and do what we want with our garden. It’s been great so far! We have decided that maybe we didn’t need 5 acres…it’s more to take care of than you might think. There’s a lot to mow and there were no fences or outbuildings when we got here.

Our original plan was to have some animals and a HUGE garden so we could do a big CSA. Sounds like a great plan, until you try to manage all of that and work a full time job. And by the way…fencing and pole barns are crazy expensive!!

So. We still don’t have any fencing, but we do have a brand new pole barn that is full of crap that we don’t know where to put in our house. This homesteading thing is a little overwhelming when you get started on a property that has nothing existing to help the homesteader!

We have adapted though! I started growing microgreens in our basement and have been pretty successful so far. I have one restaurant account with a few more possible restaurant accounts. I’ve sold a lot of “individual” microgreens trays and tomorrow is the last outdoor farmers market for the season. What’s nice is we are having a winter market one time a month, that way I can keep the greens growing. People can also order microgreens on a weekly basis and I will grow them. They can either picked them up here at the farm or I can meet them somewhere.

We have also done really well raising chickens and selling pasture raised eggs. We have almost 70 hens so we have a pretty steady supply of awesome farm fresh eggs!

We also have partnered with an amazing company and can offer our customers the best natural supplements available! This company has been around for over 60 years and the founder actually invented the very first multivitamin!! At the time in 1915, they were called vitalized minerals. So to say they are pioneers in the all natural health and wellness industry would be an understatement!!

I feel like that’s enough for now, but I will be posting often and I will be looking forward to any feedback you may have for me!!
